Charm Cluster Bracelets

Lately I have been focused on making nice bracelets. I had an idea to make some charm bracelets. I wanted to work with chain for a while, but I just didn't have the inspiration to do it. So I gave it try and I fell in love with the technique and the look of the bracelets. I use all types of beads. I use gemstones, wood, shell, glass, and Australian crystals. I love to mix it up and use beads left over from other projects. I found that it's looks better the more charms you add to it. You will know when you have added enough. If you are not into working with chain or just don't know how. This is a very simple and easy project to start. All you need is some chain, 20 gauge wire,snipes, jump rings, needle nose pliers, mixture of beads, and a clasp. Cut the chain to the desired length. You can measure it by using a bead board. Or just eyeballing it sometimes works too. I usually make 7-71/2'' bracelets. Add the clasp and then begin to string your desired beads onto the wire, cut as needed. Attach the beaded wire onto a link on the chain and just repeat until satisfied with the amount of beads on the chain. This style of bracelet will also pair up good with the cluster pendants I mentioned in my other article. Even though I am not into trends. This type of style seems to be the next hot thing. I browsed through a few of the bead magazines and all I saw were lots of the charms style bracelets. Maybe give this a try, or ask a friend who makes jewelry. And you can save lots of money making your own rather than buying those designer brand accessories.
